1. WHAT TYPE OF WORK DO YOU DO?
Q: You may have a long list of repairs. You need to make sure the contractor you use can handle them all
A: We will let you know what projects you have that are in our scope of work. While we are confident we can do any project you have, sometimes we simply don't have any available time in our immediate schedule
2. DO YOU HAVE LOCAL REFERENCES?
Q: If your contractor is experienced or does good work, they will be able to provide you with local references
A: If need be we would be glad to provide you with references of local people we have done work for
3. ARE YOU INSURED?
Q: Hiring a contractor or handyman who isn't insured is a major risk
A: At Cameron Nauceder we are fully insured with 14 years experience as a contractor/carpenter. Cameron received his on the job training from two Master Carpenters and a structural engineer.
4. HOW MUCH WILL THIS COST FOR BOTH LABOR AND MATERIALS?
Q: Having a set cap to how much you will pay protects you from price gouging
A: All agreed upon projects require signatures from the customer as well as Cameron before any work begins. You will have the total scope of work outlined as well as a materials list with pricing. That's right ... unlike others in the industry, we don't mark up our materials!
5. HOW DO YOU PRICE YOUR WORK?
Q: Some charge by the hour, some contractors charge by the job
A: At Cameron Nauceder we quote by the job. That way are you assured that you know what you are paying going into it. Like with any job, unexpected challenges may come up from time to time that couldn't be foreseen until the problem was uncovered. If that happens, we will work through the process with you and carefully explain your options moving forward in regards to any additional contracting or materials fees.
6. WHEN WILL THE WORK BE DONE?
Q: Your contractor might be busy, but so are you. Coordinating your schedules benefits everyone
A: It will be clearly laid out in the Scope of Work on the agreement signed prior to the work beginning
7. DO YOU HAVE A WRITTEN CONTRACT?
Q: This is a business transaction and everyone needs to be clear on the parameters of the work
A: Absolutely!
8. WILL YOU BE WORKING ALONE OR WILL YOU HAVE HELP?
Q: Always know who will be in your home. Also, you could benefit from an extra worker but it may affect price, so find out ahead of time
A: Depending on the size of the project, it may require us to bring in additional help. Sometimes you just need an extra set of hands. We have 2 reliable, proven subcontractors who we have worked with for years. Often times this will speed up the time in which we can complete your project as well.
